Due to logistical and operational challenges, the event organizers of the Pros Vs. Joes Basketball Competition have had to postpone the event to Thursday, Dec. 29.

Ticket holders may simply hold on to their tickets and attend on the new date. Alternatively, refunds are being offered to those who wish to no longer attend due to the date change.

If you wish to move forward with a refund, contact the Sudbury Arena box office or phone 705-671-3000.

In addition, a number of pricing adjustments have been made to make the tickets more affordable for families by offering child and student rates. Those who already purchased their tickets will be issued refunds for the difference.

Those who purchased tickets using Visa, Mastercard or American Express can expect the refund to be applied to their card within five to 10 business days.

Those who purchased tickets using debit or cash must visit the Sudbury Community Arena at 240 Elgin Street in-person to receive a refund of the difference. The original ticket must be presented to receive the refund, and refunds will only be provided to the original purchaser. The box office hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

At the Dec. 29 event, you’re invited to watch local celebrities battle it out against the Sudbury Five and other professionals.

Alongside an unforgettable basketball competition, the event will have an exciting half-time show, live entertainment, local businesses showing off their booths, and more, said a press release.

SocialRise, Athletic Therapy Plus, Tristan Ritchie and Kristofer Cacciotti are pleased to present Pros Vs. Joes Basketball Tournament and look forward to bringing the community together.

The event is in support of NEO Kids Foundation, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer, The Human League Association, and United Way.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
