Seven Sudburians win Millennium scholarships

Seven Sudbury students are among the 900 Canadians who will receive Millennium Excellence Awards for academic successes. The scholarships also recognize the students? leadership skills and contributions to their communities.

The scholarships also recognize the students? leadership skills and contributions to their communities.

All the foundation?s excellence awards are subject to a lifetime maximum of $19,200 over a period of study not exceeding 32 months.

Local winners are: Melanie Buba, Marymount Academy; Bryce Babcock-Rimore, Confederation Secondary School; Ashley Rouse, Lasalle Secondary School; Michelle Paré, Collège Notre-Dame; Steven Rayan, Lasalle Secondary School; Ching Yeung, Lockerby Composite School; and Krista St. Amant, Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School.
