The Sudbury Spartans kick off the 50th season of the Northern Football Conference May 31 in Milton.

They play the Marauders, the only team the Spartans defeated last season.
The home opener will be June 14 against Sault Ste, Marie.
The Spartans coach is Paddy Walsh. Former player John Miller is joining the coaching staff this year.
Anyone interested in trying out for the team, should register Tuesday (April 29) at Lily Creek Field between 7 and 9 pm.
