Flyers make history Claiming its first ever title since its inception in 1946, the Chelmsford Flyers Senior Boys Hockey Team defeated the St. Charles Cardinals in the SDSSAA senior boys high school hockey division I city championship playoffs.

Claiming its first ever title since its inception in 1946, the Chelmsford Flyers Senior Boys Hockey Team defeated the St. Charles Cardinals in the SDSSAA senior boys high school hockey division I city championship playoffs.

The Flyers have only competed in the SDSSAA High School Hockey League twice in the last 25 years. Flyers won the best of three game series, two games to one, putting in a great effort in a challenging series defeating the defending champions. Will Callaghan of the Flyers was named playoff MVP.

The 2001-02 champion Flyers roster includes : Bobby Mason, Rory Boyce, Will Callaghan, Eric Gosselin, Mike McCormick, Gregg Panas, Nathan Thibault, Justin Dane, Jerry Brouse, Corbie McDonald, Ryan Welsh, Stevie VanEyk, Andre Pilon, Brendan Foreshew, Brad Williamson, Nolan Windle and coaches Steve Williamson, Rick Clark and Tim Vaillancourt. Trainers were Dave Thibault, Mike Maissoneauve and manager Monique Clark.
