Boxers to compete in Italy
Four boxers from the Ontario National Training Centre?s Top Glove Boxing Academy are preparing for a boxing competition in northern Italy?s Marche region next week.

Kyle Gauthier, Chris Paulins, Jamie Lea Pollock and Amber Konikow will all take part in this overseas trip to showcase their talent May 24-26.

This event follows up on last July?s boxing card held at the Caruso Club in Sudbury, in which a travelling team from Italy competed.

For Konikow, the trip will not only be a great life experience, but her first official amateur bout.

?In order for the Italian boxers to return to Sudbury, it was agreed that we had to send a team there to compete,? said Joey McColemen, marketing director for the ONTC.
