Hockey tryouts
The 2002 Northern Ontario Hockey Association rep team tryouts for the Rayside Balfour Minor Hockey Association continue Sept. 7, 8, 14, 15 at the Azilda Arena.

The times for each division are as follows: novice, 8-9:30 am; major atom, 9:30-11 am; major peewee, 11-12:30 pm; major peewee, 12:30-2 pm; minor atom, 2-3:30 pm; minor peewee, 3:30-5 pm; minor bantam, 5-6:30 pm; midget, 6:30-8 pm; and minor midget, 8-9:30 pm.

Ringette registration
The Sudbury Ringette Association will be taking registrations for ringette players tonight and Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Westmount Playground.

Skating registration
The winter school of the Sudbury Skating Club runs from September to March 2003 at Barrydowne and Cambrian arena.
Applications for registration should be mailed to Beth Dillabough, 207 Autumnwood Cres., Sudbury, ON, P3B 3Z5.
Canskate registrations take place on the following dates: Sept. 14 at the Supermall from 11 am to 3 pm and at the Southridge Mall from 11 am to 3 pm; Sept. 18 at the Supermall from 5 to 9 pm and at the Southridge Mall from 5 to 9 pm; and Sept. 21 at Cambrian Arena from 11 am to 3 pm.

Baseball registration
The Sudbury Youth Basketball League registration begins this week.
Registrations for the 2002-03 season for boys and girls in the following age groups (as of Dec. 31, 2001): Mini (eight and nine), Bantam (10 and 11) and Midget (12 and 13).
Registration takes place on Sept. 7 from 9 am to noon at Lasalle Secondary School and Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 am at Lockerby Composite School.
The fee is $80 and there is a limited amount of room in each age group. For more information or to pre-register, call 522-3619.

Speed skaters sign up
The Sudbury Sprinters Speed Skating Club is hosting a free speed-skating session on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 1 to 2:30 pm at Countryside Arena.
Speed skates are provided free of charge but attendees must supply their own hockey or bicycle helmets and leather gloves.
