The Sudbury Canadians dropped their season
opener 1-0 to the Vermont Voltage this past Saturday at the
Laurentian University field.
The Canadians were shorthanded early on after
striker Megan Schutt was tossed from the game for a red card
foul just minutes into the first half.
The Voltage scored the lone goal of the
contest just before the 80-minute mark.
The Canadians are back in action, at home, on
May 28 and 29, when they host Toronto and Ottawa.
