Sudbury’s pro soccer team the Sudbury Cyclones are looking for a mascot and they hope their fans can come up with a winning design.

Part of the SW Sports and Entertainment (SWSE) family of teams, the Cyclones sporting franchise has three teams playing in League1 Ontario, with the Men’s First team playing in League1 Championship, the U21 men’s squad playing in League 2, and the women’s ‘A’ team playing in League 2.

Owned by Dario Zulich, SWSE includes the Sudbury Wolves, the Sudbury Five and the Sudbury Spartans football team.

Fans have until March 1 to submit their designs for the "Design the Heart of the Storm: Sudbury Cyclones Mascot Design Contest".

“We’re calling on all fans to get creative and design the team’s official mascot for the 2025 season and beyond,” the team said in a news release. “The winning design will become the face of the Sudbury Cyclones, representing the team throughout the season and for years to come.”

Besides seeing their design come to life, the lucky winner will receive a pair of 2025 season memberships as a token of appreciation.
