Sudbury Five tip-off their regular season on December 28

The Sudbury Five will play 20 games on their home court inside the Sudbury Arena during the 2019-20 National Basketball League of Canada season.

The schedule kicks off with two pre-season home games on Nov. 22 against the defending league champion Moncton Magic and Dec. 12 against the Kitchener Waterloo Titans. 

Action continues to ramp up following the Christmas holidays with a demanding regular season schedule beginning in Kitchener-Waterloo against the Titans on Dec. 28, before the home opener on Monday Dec. 30 at 7:05 p.m. against the London Lightning.

The Five will play on a variety of nights at home this season which breaks down to 5 Friday nights, 4 Saturday nights, 3 Sunday afternoons in addition to 2 Monday nights and 1 Tuesday night. All evening games will begin at 7:05pm, with Sunday afternoons beginning at 2:05pm.

“We are very happy to have our final schedule released and to be able to begin fully planning and executing our second season in the NBLC,” said Sudbury FIVE Head Coach Logan Stutz. 

“The Greater Sudbury community showed unbelievable support in our inaugural season last year, and we can’t wait to be back on the court come November. We learned a number of things in our first season and have been working hard both on and off the court this off-season to make the second season even better.”

The Sudbury Five will also be holding a media conferenceat Overtime Sports Bar and Grill on Tuesday Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. 

Fans are invited to attend as the Five unveil their new jerseys for the upcoming season as well announce three players that will be suiting up for the Fivethis upcoming season. 

Overtime will feature a 2 for 1 wing special and $5 Pint Belgian Moon special following the media conference Tuesday.
