Swimmers raising cash

Christie Smith, a third-year biomedical sciences student at Laurentian University, and Melissa Rydahl, a second-year physical education student, qualified for the World Lifeguarding Championships to be held in Daytona Beach, Florida, from May 14 to 1
Christie Smith, a third-year biomedical sciences student at Laurentian University, and Melissa Rydahl, a second-year physical education student, qualified for the World Lifeguarding Championships to be held in Daytona Beach, Florida, from May 14 to 19.

Smith and Rydahl are veterans of the Lady Vees Swim Team and staff lifeguards at the university?s pool.

In order to make this trip happen, the young women are running a fundraising carwash this Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm at the Petro-Canada gas station on Regent Street South. Donations towards the trip would be greatly appreciated.
