Get your foam fingers ready, because the Sudbury Wolves take their first bite of the second round of the OHL playoffs Friday against the Ottawa 67s.
This will be the first time the Sudbury Wolves take to the ice in the second round of the playoffs since 2013 and who better to match with, than a team also celebrating a sweep of their first-round opponents.
Ottawa finished off the regular season just 15 points ahead of the Wolves, with a total of 106 points in 68 games. Among this offensive force is Dallas Stars prospect Tye Felhaber, who finished the regular season third in the OHL point leaders' race with 109.
Joining him on the ice will be goaltending duo Michael DiPietro and Cedrick Andree, who finished as the season's top two in goals against, with an average of 2.4 and 2.48 respectively.
It has been a little over four months since the Wolves faced off against the 67s, tying the regular season series at one overtime win a piece, after a victory by Ottawa in October and Sudbury in November.
