The Sudbury Five hit the court this Saturday to launch another season of National Basketball League of Canada action.
And they’re opening their regular season with a double-header series against the Oakland County Pharaohs. Game One of the series is Saturday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m., while Game Two happens Sunday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.
“The Five roster features a number of returning fan favourites, including Jaylen Bland, Dexter Williams Jr, Evan Harris, and Jeremy Harris, as well as a number of new faces [like] former Team Canada member Duane Notice and Laurentian University Voyageurs graduate Haroun Mohamed.”
Following the Sunday afternoon game, fans are invited to meet the Five for the first team autograph session of the season. In fact, the team said, the Five will be available after every Sunday game this season to meet with fans.
Several members of the Five will be at Greater Sports in the New Sudbury Centre on Jan 5 from 6-7p.m. to meet fans and sign autographs.
Tickets are on sale now for this weekend’s action. Remember, kids 10 and under receive admission for only $10 all season long. Tickets for both games are available at the Sudbury Arena box office and online at GreaterSudbury.ca/tickets. Season Memberships are also available.
