The Walden Cross Country and Fitness Club
will be hosting the Northern Division Championship Cross
Country Skiing Races this weekend.
Skiers from across Northern Ontario will come
to the Naughton trails to compete.
Registration takes place on Friday, Feb. 4.
This will also represent an opportunity for participants to ski
the course.
The freestyle race will be held Saturday.
Start time is 11 am. The classic race starts on Sunday at 10
am. Race distances vary depending on age category.
A special participation category will be
offered for non-competitive skiers, whose motivation is to
enjoy the outdoors and be part of the fun.
There will also be a shorter children's race.
There will be a race for skiers of all abilities and
ages.
Prizes will be given out each day with medals
being awarded on Sunday after the races. For more information,
