The Walden Cross Country Fitness Club hosts the Woolly Hippo Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 22 at the Naughton Trail Centre.
The classic and skate ski races will be mass starts in waves, starting at 11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Paranordic (350m and 750m), along with Jackrabbit (350m and 700m) races go off at 11 a.m. while the Midget 3km, open 5km and open 15km all go off at 11:15 a.m.
Registration for the races opens soon at waldenxc.ca, with registration fees set at $10 for Para, Jackrabbit and Midget, and $25 for the open 5 and 15km races.
All WCCFC members will receive a $5 rebate on race day. There will be no on-site registration on the day of the race.
Participants will be treated to free snacks and hot chocolate, and there will be wood-fired BBQ burgers for sale.
