This fall, 17-year-old Julia Jodouin of St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School will be making history as the youngest female athlete to play in the Ontario University Athletics’ (OUA). Julia is also the second female to suit up for a men's varsity baseball team.

Julia will be pitching for the Laurentian Voyageurs Baseball team while working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing starting this September.

Watch the video above as reporter Matt Durnan sat down with Julia and tried to hit a few pitches.

You can catch Julia and the Laurentian Voyageurs Baseball team at the home openers scheduled for Sept. 8 against Western University and Sept. 9 against the University of Guelph.
