WolfPak riders continue to post strong results

Luukas Ovaska continues to enjoy an outstanding rookie racing season with the WolfPak Racing Team. 

The 16-year-old lead the Pak with another podium finish at last Sunday’s Trek Store Canada Cup XCO in Barrie in a tough national-calibre field. 

Ovaska finished third in a time of 51:24 and now sits third in the Cadet Sport Male 15-16 division overall series points standings with three races left.

Alex Anstice posted a fifth place result in the Master Expert 30-39 Male field in at time of 1:35:39, while Ian Sagle was seventh with a time of 1:37:48.

Rob St. Marseille rounded out the WolfPak contingent with a 19th place result in the Master Sport 50-54 male division.

Paul Guenette continued his preparation for the prestigious Leadville 100 at Leadville Colorado in August by pedaling to a second place finish at the Summer Solstice 24 relay in Albion Hills on June 26. 

He completed 19 laps of the 14 km course in 23 hours 53 minutes and 33 seconds in the solo male under 40 group. 

The Wolfpak will take a short break before heading to Gravenhurst for the SCOTT Ontario Cup XCO event at the Buckkwallow Cycling Centre on July 9.
