The Sudbury Wolves have announced that they have acquired centre Adam Ruzicka from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Sudbury’s third round pick in 2020, Erie’s second round pick in 2021 and Sudbury’s third round pick in 2021.

The 19-year-old Slovakian native was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft. In 159 regular season games with the Sting, Ruzicka has scored 72 goals and added 83 assists for 155 points.

“We have added a highly-skilled player who just returned from the World Juniors,” said Rob Papineau, Sudbury Wolves VP hockey operations and general manager.

“Adam’s proven offense in the Ontario Hockey League was exactly what we were looking in adding to our roster. The 6-4, 203 lb. centre will bring experience and offense to our powerplay. We are excited for him to join our team as we head into the playoff stretch.”
