The Sudbury Wolves play their last home game of the regular season this Friday night on St. Patrick’s day, March 17.

The Wolves continue their playoff positioning battle with a home and home series against the North Bay Battalion this Thursday and Friday night.

Thursday, March 16, the Wolves take on the Battalion at the North Bay Memorial Gardens as the two teams battle for their playoff lives. They return to the confines of the Sudbury Community Arena Friday night in what could be a pivotal game for both teams.

The Battalion are led upfront by veteran forwards Brett McKenzie and Steve Harland, who lead the team with 65 points and 63 points respectively as they head into the final week of the regular season.

The Battalion lineup also features Greater Sudbury natives Brad Chenier and Daniel Walker, who are completing their first season in the OHL.

Friday’s game is sponsored by Cambrian College. Don’t miss the Cambrian College Sock Toss in the second intermission where one lucky fan will win a GoPro. Visit the Cambrian College booth in the lower lobby to pick up your pair of socks.

Friday’s pre-game ceremony will feature the time honoured tradition of recognizing the team’s three overage players as they graduate from the OHL. Patrick Sanvido, CJ Yakimowicz and Aiden Jamieson haven’t played a long career in a Wolves uniform, but they have had a wonderful impact on the team, a press release said.

The team will take to the road for their final two games of the regular season in St. Catherines at the Meridian Centre vs. the Niagara IceDogs Saturday night and then again Tuesday, March 21 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga for the rescheduled Feb. 26 game.

You can listen to the live play-by-play on mixlr.com/sudburywolves as they round out they wrap up the regular season.

Come out and be a part of the playoff push as the Wolves make a drive for play-off positioning.

Tickets are on sale now at the Sudbury Arena Box Office or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
