Sudbury Wolves forward Chase Stillman notched his eighth goal of the season against the Mississauga Steelheads on Nov. 25.

The Sudbury Wolves’ record fell to 7-12-1 last night after falling 5-3 to the visiting Mississauga Steelheads.

While Mississauga is on an 11-game point streak, it was the Wolves who drew first blood.

Dylan Robinson fired a blast from the blueline at the 2:25 mark of the first period that blew through the five-hole of Steelheads’ netminder Joe Ranger.

Sudbury extended their lead to 2-0 a minute later when Chase Stillman zipped past a Steelheads defender to beat Ranger.

The Wolves kept the pressure on through the rest of the period, but Ranger stood his ground and kept the puck out of the net.

Before the end of the first, Mississauga would notch two markers to even the score.

The Steelheads would take the lead at the 16:07 mark of the second period and then they would double up to make it a 4-2 game two minutes later.

The Pack kept the pressure on in the third, but couldn’t crack the Steelheads defence until there were just nine minutes left in the game, when Jack Thompson scored for the Wolves to make it a 4-3 hockey game.

Mississauga was able to add an insurance goal shortly after to make it a 5-3 final.

The Wolves have a chance for revenge tonight on home ice to complete the Steelheads double-header.

With the loss, the Pack now sits ninth in the Eastern Conference with 15 points and 18th overall.
