Sudbury Wolves goaltender Troy Timpano has been traded to the Erie Otters.
In exchange, the Wolves get a a 10th-round pick in 2018, third-round pick in 2020 and a second-round draft pick in 2021.
"This was a transaction that took some time to transpire as discussions with Erie go back to early June,” said Sudbury Wolves general manager Barclay Branch. “Ultimately, Erie's keen interest in Troy resulted in us being presented with an offer that we needed to give strong consideration.”
Timpano was drafted by the Wolves in the second round of the 2013 OHL Priority Selection and played 93 games for the Wolves over three seasons.
“The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank Troy for his years of service to the Wolves and wish him the best of luck in his new opportunity.”
