The Sudbury Wolves will look to make it four in a row Friday night when they host the Peterborough Petes at 7:05 p.m.

The Wolves are coming off a big home opener weekend where they defeated the North Bay Battalion 11-3 on Friday, before overcoming the Kitchener Rangers 5-4 in a shoot-out Sunday.

Quinton Byfield continues to lead the league and team in points with six goals and six assists in five games. Blake Murray sits sixth in league scoring with three goals and five assists in five games.

David Levin also had a standout weekend notching four points in two games. Friday’s game included 10 different goal scorers en route to an 11-3 victory, including three rookies (Giordano Biondi, Chase Stillman and Ethan Larmand) who each scored their first OHL goals.

The Wolves sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 3-2-0 through their first five games.

The Peterborough Petes currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference. Their offense is led by Toronto Maple Leafs prospects Semyon Der-Arguchinstev (2018, third round) and Nick Robertson (2019, second round).

The playmaking Der-Arguchinstev is second in the OHL with eight assists, despite only playing three games so far this season. Robertson is setting the tone in the goal-scoring department for the Petes with four goals.

NHL prospects, Declan Chisholm (Jets) and Jacob Paquette (Predators) lead the way on the blueline. Goaltender and Minnesota Wild 2019 draft selection Hunter Jones gets the top net-minding duties for Peterborough.

Friday’s game is sponsored by Pure Country. Lucky fans will win $100 OLG Vouchers courtesy of OLG and Pure Country and lucky fans will also have the chance to win tickets to Dean Brody and Dallas Smith.

It’s TGIF Friday and fans are encouraged to come down early and take advantage of the 3-2-1 offers between 6:00pm and 6:30pm, including $3 Tall Boys, $2 Hot Dogs and $1 Popcorns.
