Wolves kick off busy week at home this Wednesday

The Sudbury Wolves will host a busy three-game homestand this week with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Oshawa Generals and Hamilton Bulldogs all making appearances at the Sudbury Arena.

The Wolves are coming off a big weekend picking up 4 points and extending their win streak to four with wins against the Niagara IceDogs (6-0) and Hamilton Bulldogs (7-3). 

Quinton Byfield picked up five points over the two games and several players had multi-point games.

This Wednesday, the Wolves will host the Greyhounds at 7:05 p.m. in game two of the Bell Challenge Cup.

It’s AAA Wednesday in celebration of the stars of tomorrow. The Sudbury Nickel Capital Major Midget Wolves take on the Sudbury Wolves Minor Midgets at 3:30 p.m. Fans with tickets to the Wolves game will have access to both match-ups so fans are encouraged to come down early and cheer on future OHLers.

Note, re-entry will be permitted until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday’s game is sponsored by the Real Canadian Superstore. Fans will have the chance to win PC Optimum Points by visiting the Real Canadian Superstore table in the lower lobby. 

One lucky fan will have the chance to win 250,000 PC Optimum points in the shopping cart race during the first intermission. Fans can purchase pucks from SMHA
representatives for the SMHA Chuck-A-Puck contest during the second intermission.

Friday, the Wolves will welcome the Oshawa Generals for the 5th annual Superhero game in support of Children’s Wish Foundation. The Wolves will wear Thor themed jerseys which will be auctioned off throughout the game as well as online at auction.chl.ca. 

The Nov. 15 game is sponsored by St. Louis Bar and Grill who will be on-hand with prizes and giveaways for lucky fans. Fans are also encouraged to dress up as superheroes for the game for the chance to win prizes. 

Kids 12 and under who are dressed up as a superhero will receive admission at the door for $10. Thor themed t-shirts will be available for sale at the Official Team Shop with $5 going to the Children’s Wish Foundation.

Sunday, the Wolves will host a re-match with the Hamilton Bulldogs at 2:05 p.m. Sunday’s game is sponsored by Bruce Power and one lucky fan will win an iPad during the second intermission matching game. 

It’s Junior Wolves Sunday, so don’t forget your skates to join the team for a post-game skate.
