Sudbury Wolves hockey returns to the Sudbury Arena this Friday night as the Pack look to extend their five game winning streak when they host division rivals, the Barrie Colts at 7:05 p.m.

The Wolves are coming off an outstanding road trip where they won three games against the Niagara IceDogs, Erie Otters and Kitchener Rangers which puts them at the top of the league.

Among Wolves standouts last week, Buffalo Sabres prospect Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stood tall and made 99 saves over the weekend enroute to being named the OHL Player of the Week. Following Friday’s divisional match-up, the Wolves will host the Niagara IceDogs on Sunday to wrap up a double-header weekend at the new start time of 3:05 p.m.

The Barrie Colts are led offensively by top 2018 NHL draft eligible prospect Ryan Suzuki and overager Lucas Chiodo. Suzuki leads the Colts in points with 15, while Chiodo isn’t far behind with 11. Import forward Matej Pekar rounds out the Colts top three in scoring with 10 points.

One lucky season ticket holder will also win Free Coffee for a Year on Friday in a shoot-out compliments of Tim Hortons. Season ticket holders are encouraged to wear their Wolves gear for the chance to win.

Sunday, the Wolves face-off against the Niagara IceDogs for a matinee match-up. The IceDogs roster features five draft prospects, including second round LA Kings prospect Akil Thomas and third round Minnesota Wild prospect Ivan Lodnia.

Both home games will feature local musical talent before the game and during the first period on the Queen’s stage powered by M.I.C.
