The Sudbury Wolves road woes continued this past weekend, as they lost two of three games.

The Wolves hit the nation's capital Friday night for a tilt against the Ottawa 67's.

Despite having a 3-2 lead going into the third period, the Wolves allowed the 67's to scored three unanswered goals and ended up on the wrong side of a 5-3 decision.

It was the sixth straight time the Wolves have lost their opening game on the road.

The Wolves got goals from Ryan Hastings, Stefan Blaho and Luke Dubbin.

Patrick Ehelechner was busy all night long, stopping 41 of 46 shots fired his way.

Sudbury native Danny Battachio was spectacular in net for the 67's, making 36 saves for the win.

Licking their wounds, the Wolves faced the Peterborough Petes on Saturday evening, and lost a tight game 2-1.

Ryan McDonough scored the lone goal for the Wolves against the Petes.

Kevin Beech got the nod for his first start of the season, and came up with some sharp play, thwarting 26 of 28 shots the Petes' shooters fired his way.

In a nasty mood, the Wolves finally got in the road win column on Sunday afternoon in Kingston, as they downed the Frontenacs 6-4.

The game featured numerous penalties and ejections, including Alex Eaton and Nick Foligno being tossed from the game for infractions. Eaton was yanked because of a hit from behind, and Foligno was thrown because of an intent to injure. Foligno was assessed a double game misconduct, and could face disciplinary action from the league.

The Wolves stormed out to a 4-0 lead, and held on for the victory.

Zack Stortini, Dubbin, Blaho, Bobby Chaumont and Ben Pouliot with two, scored for the Wolves.

Ehelechner was also in tough during the game, making 38 saves for the victory.

The game was extra special for Chaumont as he broke Jim Koudys' record for most consecutive games played in a Wolves' uniform with 208. Chaumont now has 209, and will build on the new record with every passing game.

The Wolves are back in action, and at home, this Friday, as they face the Oshawa Generals. Game time at the Sudbury Arena is 7:30 pm.
