Wolves take on Sting and Greyhounds in weekend double header

Sudbury looking to snap out of four-game losing skid

The Sudbury Wolves will host the Sarnia Sting and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in back-to-back matchups at the Sudbury Arena this Friday and Saturday night. 

The Wolves host the Sarnia Sting Friday before wrapping up the weekend on Saturday against their Northern Ontario rivals, the Greyhounds. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

The Sting are led up front by St. Louis Blue’s prospect Jordan Kyrou who leads Sarnia with 20 goals and a total of 62 points. In net, Justin Fazio leads the way with a record of 18-13-4 and holds a 3.33 Goals Against Average and .904 Save Percentage.

Friday’s game is sponsored by Desjardins in support of The Heart & Stroke. The Wolves will be back at it Saturday as they host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in game four of the Bell Challenge Cup. The Wolves currently lead the series five points to three points. 

Sault Ste. Marie is led by overage forward Bobby MacIntyre who leads the Greyhounds in assists and points with 59 in 43 games. Up front, the Wolves will also have to watch out for Boston Bruins 2015 first round draft pick Zachary Senyshyn.

Saturday’s game is sponsored by Giant Tiger who will be on hand Thunderstix for the first 500 fans. One lucky row will also win $10 gift cards to Giant Tiger.
