The Sudbury and District Secondary Schools' Athletic Association (SDSSAA) held its annual track and field competition late last week at the Laurentian University sports complex.

For the first time in more than 20 years, the Underwood Defendo system will be offered in Sudbury. This unique self-defence course is designed for people who may not consider themselves athletic.

From June 2-4, the community of Valley East will host the "A" boys' OFSAA soccer championships. The draw will feature a total of 16 teams. Three of these teams are from Northern Ontario.
