By Darcy McRae Youth football players in Sudbury are set for another season of gridiron fun. The Joe MacDonald Youth Football League will begin practices Aug.

Defence player Sarah Merla and goaltender Stephanie Sonier, both members of the Northeastern Ontario AAA Ringette Team, have been selected to play for Team Ontario at the Canada Winter Games this winter.

SudburyÂ?s Andrew Ellerton is showing the world heÂ?s one of the best young runners on the planet. At the World Junior Track and Field Championships in Jamaica, Ellerton last week qualified for the semifinals in his specialty, the 800 metres.
