The Laurentian Men's soccer team took to the pitch Sunday for the final game of their weekend road trip, taking on the Queen's Gaels.

The Laurentian Lady Vees soccer team made a clean sweep in Kingston Sunday, as they defeated the Queen's Gaels in a tight 1-0 match.

The Kal Tire Junior Wolves took it on the chin on the weekend, losing a pair of contests on the road. On Friday, the Jr. Wolves dropped a 9-5 decision to the Temiscaming Royals, despite taking a 3-0 lead into the second period.

BY SABRINA BYRNES After a three-year absence from the sport, Sudbury's Scott Kivisto has been on a winning streak, leading up to first place in the men's bantam weight division at the Canadian Body Building Championships.

Approximately 2,000 signatures have been added to the online petition at www.open-ice.ca in support of the Multi-use Recreational Facility proposal. Over 500 signatures have been collected on the paper petition, started at Skater's Edge.
