Downtown Sudbury would like to invite you to the fifth annual Holiday Market, November 15 and 16 on Durham Street in downtown Sudbury.
“We are really excited about this year’s event,” said a spokesperson for the Downtown Sudbury BIA. “We have added some new activities this year and hope you will enjoy!”
The Holiday Market kicks off at 5 p.m. on November 15 with the annual tree lighting, always a special moment for everyone in the crowd. “It really signals the start of the holiday season for so many in the community,” said the spokesperson.
Afterwards, there are a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy throughout the evening. At 6 p.m. adults 19 plus can enjoy a holiday pub crawl, with festive drinks designed to entice. The night market rolls on until 9 p.m., for shopping and browsing fun. There will be food and drink vendors, bonfires to keep everyone warm, cheery music and holiday displays, and a live Christmas tree farm (while supplies last).
And, new this year…a real skating rink, right outside the YMCA. “We hope you will enjoy skating during the market, as a fun new activity!” Remember, it is BYOS (Bring Your Own Skates).
Saturday, the Holiday Market continues all afternoon and into the evening, from 1 to 9 p.m., with food vendors, retail shopping, bonfires, skating, the tree farm, and more.
From 1 to 4 p.m. you can get your selfie taken with Santa, and during the afternoon, special Disney characters will be popping in to visit with your kiddos, including Olaf at 1 p.m. The Grinch at 2 p.m. and the Ice Princess at 3 p.m.
“We also have kids workshops running from 1 to 6 p.m. or until supplies last,” explained the spokesperson. “So, the kids are entertained while a parent is shopping!”
“The Holiday Market in downtown Sudbury really is a magical time. There are wonderful opportunities to pick up special gifts from our retailers downtown, as well as lots of pop-up fun and activities for the whole family. We hope to see everyone there!”
