Downtown Sudbury does not lack for things to do and experience this season. The holidays are now in full swing and there are many ways to participate.

It all starts with finding your ideal parking spot downtown with a little help from the DSBIA. Click here to view free and paid parking options (you can pay from your phone) and remember, parking is free after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all weekend long.

Now that you are in the heart of the action, here is what you can explore.

Instagramable Moments Tour: November 19 – December 23

More than 20 businesses are participating in this year’s Instagramable moments tour. Simply stroll the street, take photos, use the hashtag #MerryInSudbury and post.

Want a chance to win a $500 shopping spree and help a local business win $250? All you have to do is tag the shops you like in your pic along with your hashtag. As you stroll and snap, you will discover how many wonderful boutique and local shops power our downtown core.

They enjoy your support and you will love the deals and unique finds.

The Holiday Market: November 26

Always a favourite, the Holiday Market is set for the 26th of November.

To participate, visit Main Street where you’ll find festive décor, a warming bonfire, live music and so much more. There is ornament making at the YMCA, holiday button making at Amberill Gallery, a free photo booth courtesy of DSBIA, letters to Santa hosted by The Candy Shop and more than 40 booths with everything you need to complete your season’s shopping. This event runs from noon to 7 p.m.

The Best Gifts Under the Tree & Keep Your Receipts: Dec 3, 10 & 17

The hotly anticipated best gift/keep your receipts event is coming up soon.

Mark you your calendar for Dec 3, 10 and 17. On those days, fill out ballots at participating stores to be entered into draws for great prizes and keep receipts (totalling $75+ before tax) from purchases downtown. Bring them to the office (115 Larch Street) to receive a gift.

The Downtown Sudbury Business Association (DSBIA) has made the core an accessible and welcoming space since 1883.

Enjoy these events and keep an eye the event page to see what is coming up in the new year.
