The Sudbury Hospitality Association of Restaurant Entrepreneurs (SHARE) is a collective of local restaurants that support each other, support patrons and support the local community. With a passion for the culinary profession and an equally strong passion to give back to the community, SHARE offers events that tease the most demanding taste buds while raising funds for local charities.

To date, SHARE has raised more than $100,000 in funds. One of SHARE’s popular events is Localicious.

Leslie Moutsatsos, co-owner of The Kouzzina, says, “The focus of SHARE is to shine a light on the local independent restaurant scene in our community. Our guests’ choice to support local not only helps us to compete with large companies but also helps to keep our businesses thriving and a large population employed. When others support our Localicicous campaigns, we can, in turn, give back to our community.”

SHARE will expand in 2023 to include Localicious offerings seasonally: winter, spring, summer and fall.

At each event, local participating restaurants offer dining experiences and donate a portion of sales to charities. While participating in any Localicious event is a wonderful way to support the community, anyone can donate to SHARE’s charity list any time by clicking on their impact page and selecting the organization of their choice.

The restaurants in the SHARE initiative include:

  • Bella Vita Cucina,
  • di Gusto,
  • Hardrock 42 Gastropub,
  • JD Southern Smokehouse,
  • M.I.C. Canadian Eatery & Whiskey Pub,
  • Mr. Prime Rib,
  • The Kouzzina,
  • Verdicchio,
  • Tony V’s and
  • The Pickled Pig.

During the Localicious events, check what these restaurants have to offer. With such a varied group, diners can enjoy their favourites and also discover something new.

Localicious is an important event that raises awareness of local shopping while supporting important community charities.

Stay tuned to SHARE’s website and Facebook page so you never miss a Localicious, and remember – you can support your local restaurants and charity organization any time of the year.
