Take a vehicle you already love and make it even better—that’s exactly what the folks at Subaru have done with the new 2023 Forester.

“The compact SUV has undergone a mid-cycle facelift, with enhancements made to the Eyesight, a Wilderness model available and more towability,” says Lynn Renaud, General Sales Manager at Palladino Subaru.

The fifth-generation Subaru Forester is a dynamic compact SUV, now more capable, versatile and adventurous than earlier iterations.

Drivers who are looking for agility, comfort and convenience won’t be disappointed and are sure to find it their go-to choice.

The car is now wider, longer and more spacious. It’s also quieter, safer and handles better than previous generations. Built on the impressive Subaru Global Platform, the SUBARU BOXER® engine and Lineartronic® CVT transmission combine to offer more power and greater efficiency.

The Forester still, of course, offers all of the adventure-ready technology that drivers have come to know and love. This includes Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, X-MODE®, SI-DRIVE® and Hill Descent Control.

Little luxuries on this vehicle include auto-dimming power-adjustable side mirrors. They’re also heated, which keeps the glass surface clear, and foldable so you won’t have to worry about them getting damaged in tight quarters. There is more headroom in the fifth generation and a large power sunroof is available. You’ll find the passenger cabin quiet and peaceful, thanks to the use of advanced aerodynamics, damping material and sound-insulating glass.

Those who are looking for an even more rugged version of their favourite compact SUV will definitely want to try the first-ever Subaru Forester Wilderness™. It offers higher ground clearance, body cladding that is more rugged and underbody skid plates. It also comes complete with a tough-looking front grille and bumper.

The 2023 Subaru Forester is available with a number of different trim packages, including:

  • Convenience,
  • Touring,
  • Sport,
  • Wilderness,
  • Limited
  • and Premier

It comes with 182 hp @ 5,800 rpm, CVT transmission and a seating capacity of five. Key features include next generation EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology with an electric brake booster, Lane Centring Assist, High Beam Assist and Reverse Automatic Braking.

It also has a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat that includes lumbar support, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a proximity key with push-button start and SUBARU STARLINK® Connected Services—a free, three-year trial subscription is included.

Drivers will surely appreciate the new front fascia, which includes a completely redesigned front grille, bumper and distinctive, steering responsive LED headlights. This SUV also offers high ground clearance and suspension upgrades. The cargo area is both bigger and wider than previous generations.

The 2022 Forester definitely has a more muscular and aggressive, stylized look, with many drawn to its aerodynamic design. Drivers will also notice the generous glass area, which provides an unobstructed view from the cabin’s interior.

Subaru vehicles, of course, are known for their safety and the 2023 Forester is no exception. It incorporates the very latest in active and passive safety technology, so you can have confidence when driving and peace of mind on the road. In fact, when equipped with EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, previous versions of the Subaru Forester have earned the highest possible front-crash prevention ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
