Look out Sudbury, a unique and special event is coming up fast…and it’s free to attend!

McEwen Nuit Blanche on March 15 will transform the McEwen School of Architecture at Laurentian University into a vibrant hub of northern culture!” enthused event organizer Ethan James.

McEwen Nuit Blanche started in 2017, involving art installations, musical and dance performances and local vendors for a magical night to remember. The event ran yearly until 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced a hiatus for two years.

“In 2023 and 2024, McEwen Nuit Blanche came back, bigger and better than ever!” said James. “We are thrilled to present the 2025 iteration of this awesome event!”

McEwen Nuit Blanche 2025 gets started at 6 p.m. on March 15 and will feature local bands and performers, interactive installations, artwork, vendors, and a silent auction for local prizes and artwork, according to McEwen. After 10 p.m., the event is 18+ with a drag performance by Hauz Noir.

“Throughout the event we have performances by bands such as Monstrosa, Not the Author, and This Love is Drone,” said James.

James added, “We have some amazing performers and incredible art installations in so many different media for this year’s event. We know our community will enjoy this special night featuring so many creative people in our area.”
