Sudbury’s Summer Concert Series is back with a bang in 2023, and music lovers are already getting excited about the line-up. Organizers have announced an impressive roster of big-name acts for this year's festival, including Kim Mitchell, Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent and Lindsay Ell.

The festival, which is being held at the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park, has already sold more than 50 per cent of tickets for each weekend, said Jeff Sebben, event organizer and president of Cabin Media.

The main objective of the concert series is to get everyone outside in the middle of summer under the sun, enjoying live music, said Sebben.

This year's series is bigger than last year's, with one more weekend and bigger sponsors. There are also plans to announce two more nights of music in the coming weeks, with a big country artist set to perform, which will be announced in late May.

Sebben is excited about the opportunity to bring big-name artists to Sudbury and offer people in northern Ontario a chance to see them without having to travel to Toronto. He encourages first-timers to come out and experience the series, with eight nights of music planned for the summer.

“I definitely went for some big names,” Sebben said. “These names have played at much bigger venues than what they're playing at this year."

The partnership with M&M Food Market is an exciting addition to this year's concert series. They will be the food vendor for all the shows this year, selling hotdogs, hamburgers and beverages. The event will also be sponsored by Molson, who will provide beer and coolers.

The Sudbury Summer Concert Series is an excellent opportunity for people to spend a weekend in Sudbury and enjoy some live music, food and drinks. It is a must-see event for anyone looking for a great summer experience in northern Ontario.
