The “Happiest Hour” in the city

Downtown Sudbury Happy Hour brings more businesses into the fun! Cheers to that!

Sudbury’s downtown hosts you for happy hour every Friday between 4 pm and 7 pm – and the Business Improvement Area Association (BIA) is reframing how a “happy hour” can be enjoyed.

You are probably thinking it is time on a patio with savings on food and drinks, but in Downtown Sudbury it’s so much more than that!

Kyle Marcus, Managing Director, BIA, states, “We have made Downtown Sudbury Happy Hour a fun and interactive way for everyone to explore what our city has to offer. In addition to our amazing patios opening for after work fun, our retailers and service providers alike have special promotions during this time.”

Even Hot 93.5 and Rewind 103.9 are in on the action (and on some Saturdays as well). The radio hosts are on location, handing out the popular downtown dollars. These dollars can be redeemed at over 44 participating locations so you can buy pants, get your haircut and get a meal all with the same card.

What would you do with a surprise $10-$200? Which shop or restaurant would you choose to explore? Share your downtown dollars shopping spree photos on the DSBIA Facebook and Instagram pages.

Some of the businesses participating in happy hour include:

  • Beards Bakery,
  • The YMCA,
  • Platinum Cosmetics,
  • All About Massage,
  • Kulta Vintage,
  • Towne House Tavern,
  • Huckleberries Chocolatiers,
  • and many more!

Check out all the deals online here.

Marcus notes, “Your DSBIA is on a mission to show you all the incredible businesses and people that make our downtown area one of the most unique, special and important areas of commerce in the North. We are actively working to show off what we, as a community, have to offer. From unique goods to niche businesses, our downtown has it all, while continually working to create space that is safe, welcoming, inclusive and accessible. Happy hour is just one of many ways for you and the whole family to rediscover the amazement and delights our city’s core has to offer. Check out Downtown Sudbury today – there is a place here for everyone.”
