Last week was Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada, and the City of Greater Sudbury invited organizations to compete in the annual Disaster Dining Challenge.
The goal: To help reinforce the importance of being prepared for an emergency.
The challenge: Participants had 30 minutes to assemble a three-course meal using only non-perishable food items that could be found in an emergency preparedness kit.
To simulate cooking conditions in a disaster situation, no electricity or tap water was used.
Watch the video to see what the teams came up with (and whether the judges could eat the creations).
