Video: Stand-off in Milnet ends peacefully

Click the video above to watch a video on the situation in Milnet today. An armed man barricaded himself inside a home in the tiny community, which has only a handful of permanent residents, the evening of Jan.

Note: In the original video, Sudbury.com spoke to a woman named Denise Mativinovic who claimed to be a relative of the man arrested in Milnet on Jan. 26. Mativinovic misidentified the man who had barricaded himself in his home as Jerry Castonguay. But according to the Greater Sudbury Police Service, that is not the name of the man who was arrested in Milnet on Jan. 26.

"That's just not who it is," GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told Sudbury.com "The female spoke to everyone who was at the scene and we're looking at issuing a media release that media outlets I who were there were provided with information that was incorrect."
