8 Halloween costume ideas that are very, very Sudbury

Sudbury.com's Heather Green-Oliver has been busy coming up with timely Sudbury-related Halloween costumes options for her two-year-old son Thomas.

1. Dario Zulich

As the new owner of the Sudbury Wolves, Dario Zulich is known for his signature white button up and dark blue jeans. It's possibly the easiest costume to pull off and definitely the most adorable!
 

2. Wolves player

The Sudbury Wolves were off to their best start in more than 20 years, as long as they stay out of the penalty box. They ended up dropping two games this past weekend, but still: Go Wolves Go!

3. Pothole

Lorne Street made the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) list of the 10 worst roads in Ontario this year. They don't call us the "Crater" City of Sudbury for nothing!

4. The Superstack

With talk about Vale possibly replacing the superstack in the future, we thought we'd honour one of Sudbury's iconic landmarks.
 

5. The Big Nickel

Another one of Sudbury's iconic landmarks, the Big Nickel turned 52 this year. Sadly, its creator, Ted Szilva, passed away just a few months before. This one's for you, Ted.

Speaking of birthdays, this famous Sudburian shares his birthday with the Big Nickel.

7. Runaway llama

Ok, so the costume may be a little baaaaad, but if you squint and tilt your head to the side, it's obvious that it's a costume of Sylvie the Llama. Sylvie started a frenzy on the Internet after she got loose in Lively earlier this month.

8. Creepy clown

The creepy clown phenomenon hit Sudbury at the beginning of October but thankfully it was a short-lived trend. However, given its popularity you can probably expect some of tiny terrifying hellions on your door step this Halloween.
