Public health officials have identified the cause of an ongoing salmonella outbreak in Ontario and Quebec.

They say everyone who got sick had recently eaten 'Filicetti' brand Italian style mild, dry, cured sausages.

The product was recalled earlier this month.

So far, there have been 12 confirmed cases of salmonella illness: 10 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec.

Symptoms include fever, chills, and vomiting.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.
