Creepy clown sightings in North Bay

BayToday.ca has heard of two sightings at schools on the North end of the city last week.

The bizarre clown phenomenon hit Sudbury last week and now the North Bay Police Service confirmed they have received one complaint about clown activity in the city of North Bay.  

Police Chief Shawn Devine confirmed the siting and noted that anyone dressed as a clown trying to scare people, especially children, could face a mischief charge.

BayToday.ca has heard of two sightings at schools on the north end of the city last week.     

The Sudbury Police also received a few reports to police last week.

BayToday reader Jocelyn Green posted this warning.

"A colleague of mine just posted this (5:40pm, Wednesday, Oct 12) 'Heads up if you are using the Kate pace way near the Firestation. A clown jumped out and scared some kids just before I got there. He hid in the bushes, as I rode by. Then he took off in the bush. He was wearing dark pants, red shirt. Did not see his face.'"

The so-called “creepy clown” sightings have spread across a number U.S. states and parts of Canada leading to arrests, school warnings and police investigations.
