Residents are being warned not to purchase or consume a certain type of Mozzarella cheese due to Listeria concerns.

Cliento brand Mozzarella di Bufala Campana was recalled Thursday, Nov. 28 after the product failed a CFIA test.

The product was sold in grocery stores across Ontario and Quebec.

Currently, no illnesses have been reported, but the CFIA says anyone who becomes sick from consuming the product should call their doctor.

The CFIA is continuing to investigate the issue, which may lead to other recalls.
