At least one local brewer is responding to the provincial government's buck-a-beer plan.

Dominion City Brewing Company says it is unequivocally impossible for them to sell a beer for a dollar without compromising quality.

The independently-owned brewer does have a $1 plan.

The brewer is releasing a new beer called 'Buck-a-Beer Blonde,' and $1 from every beer sold will go to support refugees living here in the capital.

The special beer will be available starting on August 30, 2018.
