Highway 400 southbound was closed for several hours overnight while OPP investigated a fatal collision.
The two vehicle crash happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Innisfil Beach Road.
OPP say the lone driver of an SUV was killed after striking the back of a tractor trailer and the SUV was "consumed by fire."
There is no information at this time on the age or gender of the person who died.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
