On Sept. 9, Rainbow Train Tours will get "wild in the wilderness" for the first ever, one-day only LGBTQ+ rail adventure experience in Sault Ste. Marie.

The train will take an exclusive ride through the majestic Canadian Shield with live entertainment and views of the rugged landscape along the way.

"This unique excursion will transport your body and soul to places of the untamed imagination," says a news release.

"The fun begins immediately as you step onto the train and are greeted by your host, internationally acclaimed celebrity female impersonator and comedian, Timothy Murphy (An Evening at La Cage) who will bring to life iconic women of the stage and screen to accompany you on your excursion.

"Harmonies of guitars and performances by award-winning northern Ontario recording artists Frank Deresti and Jay Case (Frank Deresti and the Lake Effect) and featuring their collaborations with celebrated local singer/songwriter Shannon Moan (The Shannon Moan Trio) allow you to escape further away from civilization."

The tour also features "mind bending, interactive magic" from renowned magician Ryan McFarling along with Timothy Murphy as your hostesses, Joan Rivers, Carol Channing, and Gina Lola-International-Bridge-ida.

The train travels 500 feet down to the Agawa Canyon floor.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play host in my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to all of our LGBTQ+ visitors as we ride the first ever Rainbow Train together, sharing the beauty and wonder of the Algoma landscape that has captivated and inspired visitors to this breathtaking region of Northern Ontario for centuries”, says Timothy Murphy.

“I am also excited for our Rainbow Train guests to experience our northern Ontario brand of hospitality, enjoy our Naturally Gifted Sault Ste. Marie talent, and take advantage of the numerous other tourist activities and special events scheduled in the Sault at that time. We want to show you how to party like a Northerner for the weekend, so what are you waiting for? Get off your caboose, get on the train, and join in the fun!”
