Not often a mother lays a police complaint against her son, but cell phones and video games can cause big problems in a family.
OPP responded yesterday to a family disturbance at a home in Iron Bridge on Highway 17, near Elliot Lake.
An investigation determined that a mother was trying to discipline her son for acting in an irate manner by removing an electronic device he owned.
That didn't sit well with the son, who rebelled by physically assaulting his mother.
A 15-year-old boy from Iron Bridge, was charged with assault.
The teen is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on December 14.
