WayHome Music and Arts Festival is taking a year off according to a statement on the wayhome.com website.

'A sense of calm comes from a pause. It can be a simple moment to take a much needed breath or an opportunity to reflect, reassess and re-imagine. A pause is equal parts necessary and important," it read.

The statement says that 'WayHome Music & Arts will be on pause in 2018.'

The three-day festival is held annually at Burl's Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte.

But it will not return for a fourth year,

'Thank you for the love & support the community of WayHomies have shown over the last three years. The millions of magical moments we created and shared together will sit in our memory banks to be relived for years to come. This isn’t goodbye, just see you later. Love, WayHome."

Organizers boasted that more than 40,000 fans attended the event in 2016.
