This International Women’s Day, help us support YWCA Sudbury!

*Please note: the Women's Shelter Donation Drive is now sold out. If you would like to support YWCA Sudbury, donations can be made directly on their website. We appreciate your support.

Sudbury.com is stepping up to help YWCA Sudbury in honour of International Women’s Day. But we need your help!

For every care package purchased for the shelter in our online pop-up store, local businesses have offered to match the donation. That means your donation will be matched 8 times!

Donate below!

All donations will support YWCA Sudbury, and you can purchase a package for the shelter until March 7 at 12 p.m.

Please READ THE RULES. Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase. We recommend you use a credit card, not a debit card.

Please note: The charge will appear on your credit card as Village Media. No tax receipt is provided for those purchasing a care package and Village Media will not receive a tax receipt when submitting the donation to the Crisis Centre on your behalf.

This wouldn’t be possible without the generous local businesses and organizations that work hard to make Sudbury a better place.

About YWCA of Sudbury

Vision

A safe, equitable, and inclusive community where women and their families thrive.

Mission

To empower women and their families to reach their full potential in body, mind and spirit, through action, advocacy, community collaboration and education.

Values

We believe in:

  • A Women’s Perspective: - Women must take leadership in shaping society’s direction in order to achieve equity and equality for all women.
  • Difference and Diversity: - In order to achieve social and other forms of justice, we must embrace difference and diversity among peoples.
  • The Whole Person: - Strength, wisdom, and character come from the balanced development of the whole person in body, mind, and spirit.
  • Community Mindedness: - Healthy communities, free from violence, racism, and other abuses of power, nurture the whole person. Individuals committed to equity advance the growth of such communities.
  • Global Interdependence: - The world-wide struggle for equity and equality interconnects all women.
