The city is seeking public feedback on an Official Plan amendment related to Greater Sudbury’s nodes and corridors strategy.
“The proposed amendment includes changes that focus high- and medium-density land uses, such as multi-residential and mixed-use buildings, to the city’s main arterial roads, and lower residential densities to nearby neighbourhoods,” the city said in a release. “It will ensure future investments complement transit and active transportation strategies and help achieve compact, complete communities.”

“The Nodes and Corridors Strategy was adopted in September 2016 to help revitalize and better connect our downtown, the town centres, strategic core areas and corridors of the city. The strategy will help knit together land use, zoning, urban design and transportation planning to create a greater sense of place and to design a more complete street conducive to travel by multiple modes.”
