Here’s the municipal service schedule for Easter Weekend

Holiday weekend will impact some city services

The Easter holiday weekend will impact some city services between March 29 and April 1.

If your normal garbage collection day in Friday, your garbage (including recycling and compostable organics) will be picked up on Saturday, March 30. Please ensure your trash is at the curb by 7 a.m., the city states.

Landfills and transfer stations will be closed on Good Friday, but will be open on Saturday, March 30 and Monday, April 1. Landfills and transfer stations are closed on Sundays.

The Recycling Centre will be closed on March 29, but open Saturday and Monday. 

Citizen Service Centres and libraries will be closed on Friday and Monday, but will operate during regular business hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Greater Sudbury pools, youth centres and fitness facilities will be closed on Friday and Monday. Operating hours for Saturday and Sunday vary by location. Please visit GreaterSudbury.ca for additional information.

GOVA Transit will follow holiday routes and schedules on Friday and Sunday. Buses on April 1 will follow a Saturday/Sunday service schedule. The Saturday transit schedule is unaffected by the holiday weekend.

The Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter is closed to walk-ins. 

And finally, 311 and Live Web Chat at 311.greatersudbury.ca will not be available from Friday through Monday. Call 311 for urgent public works or animal control inquiries.

Please note that city social media accounts are not monitored on weekends and municipal holidays.
