Are you honest all the time? I’ve heard of white lies, but never of any green, blue, red or orange lies.
I’d never lie to the coppers, I don’t think, right? I watch “Law & Order” too.
However, these “white lies” are interesting to me. Is this an opportunity to be nice and naughty simultaneously? Kinda like eating a chocolate bar while you are speed walking. Hmmm…
How would you answers these questions:
- Did you like my new recipe? (When you actually thought it was quite gross.)
- Do these clothes make me look attractive? (When they actually make the person look older than they are.)
- Do I have a good singing voice? (When the sound actually scares wildlife away.)
There are direct emotional reactions to the answers. Kindness is A1, but what about when you are unsure? You don’t want your loved ones to feel unwell, be embarrassed or cause acoustic harm to the community.
So, I was just wondering, are white or colourful lies ok sometimes? And when these questions are asked, wouldn’t it be ideal to be me, and unable to answer?
